In 2003 Travis Fuhrer followed his passion for the outdoors and created his first stone sink in Portland, Oregon. As a local to Portland, and son of a kitchen designer, Travis Fuhrer understands that custom design is an art, and that careful attention to a vision creates a solid product.
From trail hiking, fishing in lakes and rivers, surfing on the Pacific coast and snow boarding in the Northwest, Travis brings his passion of the outdoors into functional art by incorporating nature into the home.
In his local Portland studio, Travis designs one of a kind natural stone sinks. After choosing the stone, each boulder is carved out and polished by hand revealing the inner beauty within.
“There is a natural design to each stone I see in the mountains and rivers of the Northwest. I look at a stone, and envision my ability to flow with what nature has already created, turning a solid boulder into a functional piece of art.”
Travis’ stone sinks are featured in many showrooms, and luxury homes across the northwest; including Bend, The Street of Dreams and The Parade of Homes in Montana.
